Varius Mini Wireless Router
System Requirement:
The following operating systems are supported:

1. Physical Description
Caution:
1. During severe weather/lightening unplug router.
2. Do not place router on hot surfaces.
3. Router is not waterproof.
4. Do not use router near Microwave open.

2. Hardware Connection
Connect one end of the provided USB cable to micro USB Port of the Mini Wireless Router and the other end to the power adapter, and then plug the power adapter to a standard electrical wall socket.
Wait for 30 seconds till the indicator light up, and then connect Ethernet cable to the WAN port and LAN port of Varius Mini Wireless Router.
NOTE: Varius Mini Wireless Router can be powered by Power Adapter or laptop/PC through the USB cable.
3. PC Configuration
Here we take Wireless Network Connection as an example. Please make sure you have installed wireless network adapter. You can also go to Local Area Connection to configure the PC for wired network connection, and then go to Step 5 to configure the router.
For Windows XP:
1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network and Internet connections > Network Connections. Right click Wireless Network Connection, and select Properties.
2. Double click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the item list.
3. Select obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically. Click OK to finish the settings.
For Windows 7:
1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel >View network status and tasks > Manage network connection, and select Properties.
2. Double click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the item list
3. Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS address automatically .Click OK to finish the settings.
4. Connect to network
For Windows XP:
1. Click this icon at the bottom of your desktop.
2. Click Refresh network list, (network name BSSID) as: MiniWirelessRouter-XXXX of Click connect.
3. You’ve successfully connected to the wireless network.
For Windows 7:
1. Click the icon at the bottom of your desktop.
2. Click refresh button, and then select network, Click Connect.
3. You’ve successfully connected to the wireless network.
NOTE: The default SSID of the network is beginning with Next, you can change the SSID to an easy to remember name.
5. Router Configuration
1. Open a web browser, type 192.168.1.1 in the address field, and press Enter. At the prompt, enter the default User Name/Password : root/admin , Click OK to enter the Mini Wireless Router`s Management page.
2. After a successful Login, please configure the Mini Wireless Router according to the working mode you choose.
Wireless Overview and select the “Edit”.
In Dynamic IP mode, Mini Wireless Router will get the IP address automatically from the DHCP server or the ISP, and then click Next to continue set up password to protect your network from unauthorized access or the Back button to the previous page.
In Static IP Mode, you should fill in the IP address, Subnet Mask, default Gateway and DNS IP address assigned by the ISP correctly, and then click. Next to set up password to protect your network from unauthorized or the Back button to go back to the previous page.
In PPPoE(ADSL) mode, please enter the User Name and Password given by your ISP, and then click Next to set up password to protect your network from unauthorized access or the Back button to back to the previous page.
In Hotel(AP Mode), Mini Wireless Router wireless central hub for your wireless LAN clients a wireless extension for you current wired network.
Wireless Security Setting
To ensure network security, it is strongly recommend to set up a password to avoid unauthorized access. Go to Network> WIFI
>Interface Configuration to set up a password to protect your network from unauthorized access.
Note: WPASK/WPA2PSK is recommended as a safer encryption.
Note:
1.When saving some of the configuration, Mini Wireless Router will reboot automatically to save configurations. You might need to wait for rebooting and reconnect the Mini Wireless Router.
2. If the security of wireless network taken effect, please in the password you have set before, and reconnect to the wireless network (please refer to 4th step).
3. Current setting status can be viewed in Status.
6. System Management
In System Management you can configure language, administrator password and NTP time setting.
To prevent unauthorized access to router, it is strongly recommended to change the administrator password.
Input your new password and click apply, the password will takes effect immediately.
Note: In case the password is forgotten, please restore the router to factory default and log in with defaulted password “root”.
7. Trouble shooting
What should I do if no indicator lights up when the router is connected to power?
(1)Wait for 30 seconds till the indicator lights up.
(2)Check to make sure that the USB cable is effectively plugged in and the USB port output meets the router input requirement.
(3)Change to adapter power supply instead of laptop USB port or desktop USB port.
Why can’t I surf the internet when my PC has connected the router successfully?
(1)Make sure the modems you see have internet access and the operation mode is right.
(2)Make sure the IP and the DNS server address are both automatically set.
What should I do when I find my PC was unable to connect to the internet or connected limitedly?
(1)Make sure the wireless internet is unencrypted or the password is correct when it is encrypted.
(2)Make sure the IP and the DNS server address are both automatically set.
(3)If it doesn’t work after you have tried these two steps, please unplug the device to restart or reset the system.
8. FCC Statement
