Access Point Configuration

A wireless access point is a networking hardware device that allows other Wifi devices to connect to it. The Access Point Configuration page allows you to configure details relating to the access point so that virtual usb client machines can connect to it.

Details of the Access Point includes:

  • SSID is short for Service Set Identifier which defines the name of the network.
  • Pass Phrase is a sequence of words or other text to gain access to the access point. As the access point is using WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-shared Key), minimum 8 characters is needed to input in this field.
  • Channel refers to wifi channel which is the medium through which our wireless network can send and receive data. The virtual USB server is operating under 2.4 GHz which has available 11 Channels to choose from.
