VMR – HTTP Profiles

Introduction

You cannot delete an HTTP profile if it is used in Transmission Action. To delete a HTTP profile, you must delete all references in the Transmission Actions.

Setting up HTTP Profiles

To define an HTTP server profile, Add a new profile name at the Identifier and configure the settings in the following table. You can remove a profile by selecting a profile in the list box and click “Remove”.

Please enter a meaningful name to identify the HTTP Profiles for usage.

Base URL

A Uniform Resource Locator (URL), colloquially termed a web address,is a reference to a web resource that specifies its location on a computer network and a mechanism for retrieving it. Please include http:// or https://. You can include web port if applicable. For example: https://variustech:8090/geturl

Parameter Fields

 Each parameter generally has a value (or multiple values) indicated by the equal sign (which, in this case are: 1, true, and loves+me+some+jello). Multiple parameters are separated with ampersands.

Field that is populated by static value indicated.

Represent the query parameter string in sequential format.

Response Pipe to SMTP Email

Option whether to post the response text of the HTTP call back into VMR via SMTP Email for processing.

Subject

If confirmed posting back the response to email, you can set the subject of the email here. This is useful in filtering for actions during Inbound Filters.
